Elias is six years old and still small. He admires his tough, brave 12-year-old brother Roni, who ignores him. Roni looks up to their strict father. In his will, the boys' grandpa has left them an old handgun from the war. Elias steals the gun and takes it with him to the railway yard. Two other brothers, the adult Atte and Petja, are also at the yard, intending to settle their own quarrel. Brothers from two different generations meet. One of them has a gun that has been used to kill people.
