The two children Ida and Skrubsak are visiting their grandmother, a harsh woman without much understanding of small people and their thoughts and feelings. When the children show signs of naughtiness, she threatens them with the Bogey Man, who lives in the chimney and eats bad children. Grandmother has given Skrubsak a yelping teddy bear, and Ida suggests to him to show the teddy bear to the Bogey Man.
