Lying on his deathbed, Russian-Karelian Timo Lesonen says his life has been nothing but difficulties, not worthy a man. His farm was destroyed in the 30s, later he worked as an interpreter in the Soviet Army when invading Finland in 1939. There he was taken Finnish prisoner of war and finally became a soldier in that same army in World War II.
