Vitello is bored. The kids he usually plays with are not at home but his mother sends him out to play anyway and find new friends. Vitello has an idea: If he can find some money he can buy sweets and get new friends. He searches the ground for coins. A curious boy, The Brat, helps him. But then The Brat gets a better idea: they can dig a hole and literally capture a new friend for Vitello. The boys dig a big hole in the bicycle path behind the mall and wait for a friend to fall into the trap. Suddenly there is loud crash. A very angry adult cyclist tells them to fill in the hole immediately. So, not a new friend. But the two boys agree to meet up the next day and play together.
