Society has fallen apart and ten-year-old Adam is one of the few kids left in the city. Adults have surrendered to fear and left the city. Teacher Carlo is the only grown-up left, but when his blood too turns grey he leaves. Adam struggles to keep the kids together in order for them to make the city a livable place again. More importantly, he wants to kiss Ida so her blood will turn red again.
