Mechanical Love

What differs human love from that created by a machine? Can you start to love a robot, programmed to love you unconditionally? Japanese Professor Ishiguro’s ambition to create androids as human as possible has developed into a project to create his own geminoid. We also meet Paro, a robot-seal created as company to elderly patients. Our need to love and be loved - perhaps the two most important aspects of life, is highlighted.
