Uutisten aika

Ellen Namhila studied in Finland in the 1980s as a Namibian refugee on a scholarship. Set against rare TV archive material, she reads from her autobiography, The Price of Freedom - and provides insights into the peculiar cultural differences between the two nations. This personal, observant and often funny account highlights Namibia’s struggle for independence as well as Finland’s long-term ties with the southern African country.
