The Boyg

Bøygen

The Boyg is found not only in Henrik Ibsen's epic poem Peer Gynt and in Nordic folklore. The Boyg is the voice within us that whispers "go around". A cold spirit of inertia, blocking our path. It is a coiling constrictor that suffocates progress and initiative. A short film inspired by visual music, epic poetry, Erik Hedin's recomposition of Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt score and the Great Boyg itself who eventually finds us all.
